Who I am...
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist with over 20 years of community mental health experience. My first introduction to the mental health field was in 1994 as a high school student where I provided after-school care for a student with Down’s Syndrome. Since that time, I have had the pleasure of working in a variety of settings related to social services, mental health and therapy.
In 2000 I obtained a Bachelor of Social Work degree from University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and in 2013, I graduated with an MA in Rehabilitation Counseling. Since 2014 I have been working with children and families to help bring hope and healing to stressed and, sometimes broken, relationships, as a licensed clinician.
When I’m not working, play is a very important part of my self-care. I enjoy connecting with friends on their various islands (Animal Crossing), being out in nature, reading and recreational writing. My favorite place to visit is the beach—pretty much any beach—and I LOVE waterfalls!
